My journey in the arts so far has been eclectic and punctuated by unforgettable moments. Some standouts from my younger days include playing a boyband member on Law & Order, performing off-Broadway, being a giant head of lettuce on the Today Show (ask me more about that in person) and experiencing the thrill of seeing my illustrations and writing appear on greeting cards, gift products and in various publications.
More recently, I've been able to validate my countless hours spent watching cartoons as “research” by becoming a songwriter for some of the biggest children’s television series in the world. I’ve achieved success in other genres as well; my pop and dance songs placed with major labels internationally and rising to the top of the Billboard Charts. In a coalescing of my love for film and music, I’ve had the opportunity to produce and creative direct music videos which have aired on networks like MTV and Logo TV.
I realized, though, that in the same way my brain constantly makes unique connections between often disparate information, it doesn't see the separation of all these different artistic pathways. Design, copy, music and producing are all outlets to express my aesthetic and point of view. Looking for where I can meld these skills—and a lifelong fascination with psychology—I discovered advertising.
I love the process of collaborating with talented individuals, pooling our resources and solving problems in simple, yet unexpected ways to bring memorable campaigns to life. I lead a team with the philosophy that the best ideas are born and nurtured in an environment where you're safe to express any idea, experiment and push limits. I believe that no matter how hard the work is, keeping a sense of joy in the process translates to a product radiating that "something special" viewers feel and respond to.
Creating is my passion. I'm so grateful that I can make a living doing it and am always on the hunt for, and open to, new adventures.
